CAS:5-Methyl-2-pyrazinecarboxamide is a synthetic sulfa drug that inhibits the growth of mycobacterium avium, which is a bacterium found in the environment that can cause tuberculosis. 5-Methyl-2-pyrazinecarboxamide has been shown to have potent antitumor activity in tumor cell lines and has been shown to be effective against tuberculosis in mice. This molecule is synthesised from pyrazinoic acid, an organometallic compound, and sulfamethazine. The molecular descriptors obtained from this molecule are used to validate its anticancer activity in other tumor cells. The photophysical properties of this molecule have also been studied extensively.Formula:C6H7N3OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:137.14 g/mol
