CAS:Bisoctyl dimethyl ammoniumchloride is a quaternary ammonium compound that is used in the formulation of disinfectants, disinfectant solutions, and other antimicrobial products. It is an excellent surfactant with a low toxicity and a high solubility. Bisoctyl dimethyl ammoniumchloride can be used in reaction solution to remove bacteria from surfaces. This product has been shown to have high bactericidal activity against Gram-positive bacteria and moderate activity against Gram-negative bacteria. The biocidal efficacy of this product is due to its ability to disrupt the bacterial cell membrane by forming pores on the surface of the cells, thus causing leakage of intracellular components. Bisoctyl dimethyl ammoniumchloride also has an effect on the permeability of eukaryotic cells, which may be responsible for its antiviral properties.Formula:C18H40ClNPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:LiquidMolecular weight:305.97 g/molRef: 3D-FB147023
