CAS:3-Nitroanisole is a synthetic organic compound that contains two methoxy groups. It reacts with phosphoric acid to produce an unstable intermediate, which then undergoes a diazonium salt reaction. 3-Nitroanisole is used in the synthesis of other organic molecules that contain nitro groups, such as 4-nitrobenzaldehyde and 4-nitrophenol. The reactants are combined in a vessel with water vapor and hydrogen bonding, which leads to a molecule transfer mechanism. The product is obtained by reacting the intermediate with ammonia gas or ammonium hydroxide in water. There are many reaction products, including 3-aminoanisole, 2-methylanthraquinone, and 6-nitrosopyridine.Formula:C7H7NO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:153.14 g/mol
