CAS:Triethoxysilylmethyl Methacrylate (TESM) is a synthetic polymer that is used in coatings. TESM has been shown to be reactive with sodium citrate and can form patchy coatings. It has optical properties that are sensitive to the morphology of the surface on which it is applied, showing a blue-green colouration on flat surfaces and a yellow colouration on rough surfaces. TESM is typically synthesized by reacting triethoxysilane with methyl methacrylate in an organic solvent at a temperature of around 20°C.
