CAS:Bisphenol A bis(2,3-dihydroxypropyl) ether (BPA-DPE) is a monomer in the polymer polycarbonate. It is used as a coating on some canned food containers and plastic drink bottles. BPA-DPE has been shown to have an effect on blood pressure and cholesterol levels in incubated animals. Studies have also shown that these effects can be seen after one day of exposure to BPA-DPE. In addition, BPA-DPE has been shown to inhibit the growth rate of human hepatoma cells at high concentrations, but not at low concentrations. Further research into the effects of this chemical will require more sensitive detection methods for its presence in biological samples such as saliva or urine.Formula:C21H28O6Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:376.44 g/mol
