Cacotheline Monohydrate
CAS:Cacotheline Monohydrate is a glycopeptide antibiotic that contains an amino sugar, a sugar residue and a metal ion. It has been shown to be active against certain Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Cacotheline Monohydrate is produced by the reaction of sodium carbonate with hydrochloric acid in the presence of metal ions. This reaction produces hydrogen gas which reacts with redox potentials in the chlorides present to form cacotheline monohydrate. Cacotheline Monohydrate is soluble in water and alcohol, but insoluble in ether or acetone. The average particle size ranges from 1 to 5 microns, depending on the process used for production.Formula:C21H21N3O7·HNO3·H2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:508.45 g/molCacotheline Monohydrate
