CAS:4-Methyl-1,3-thiazole-2(3H)-thione is a potent inhibitor of mammalian cell growth. It has been shown to be effective against bacterial cultures, such as Staphylococcus aureus, and in vitro models of diabetic patients. 4-Methyl-1,3-thiazole-2(3H)-thione inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids by blocking the thiolation of cysteine residues. It is synthesized from 2,4-dimethylthiazolium chloride and 4-(methylsulfanyl)phenylamine. The inhibition potency values for 4-methyl-1,3-thiazole-2(3H)-thione are IC50 = 0.07 mM and IC50 = 0.03 mM on human fibroblast cells and rat liver microsomes respectively.Formula:C4H5NS2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:131.22 g/molRef: 3D-FM148856
