Streptomycin A
CAS:Streptomycin A is an antibiotic that is used to treat infections caused by bacteria, such as those of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, and skin. It is a naturally occurring antibiotic that is produced by Streptomyces griseus. The resistance of Streptomyces griseus to streptomycin A may be due to a mutation in the gene for the amino acid sequence of the protein's beta-lactamase. This mutation prevents binding of streptomycin A to its target site on the ribosome, resulting in reduced susceptibility to this type of antibiotic. Streptomycin A has also been shown to inhibit HIV infection and replication by blocking toll-like receptor signalling pathways and reducing inflammatory responses.Formula:C21H39N7O12Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:581.58 g/molStreptomycin Sulfate
