Color and Shape:Mixture2,6-Dimethylphenol
CAS:2,6-Dimethylphenol is the most important member of the class of trifluoroacetic acids. It is a white crystalline solid with a melting point of -5°C, and is soluble in water, ethanol, and acetone. The polymerization reaction mechanism has been shown to involve coordination geometry of the metal cation and the anion. This reaction proceeds by oxidative addition followed by elimination of a methyl group from one of the carbon atoms. 2,6-Dimethylphenol reacts with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) to form a surfactant that has been shown to be useful in organic solvents for washing purposes. Michaelis-Menten kinetics have been used to study this reaction for both pyridine and piperazine solutions. The rate constant for the oxidation of 2,6-dimethylphenol has been determined using kinetic data obtained from experiments conducted on cell nuclei preparations from Saccharomyces cereFormula:C8H10OPurity:Min. 98.5%Color and Shape:White To Yellow To Light Brown SolidMolecular weight:122.16 g/molRef: 3D-FD38278
