CAS:Formula:C12H16OPurity:98%Color and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:176.25484-Phenylcyclohexan-1-ol
CAS:4-Phenylcyclohexan-1-ol is an organic compound with the chemical formula C10H12O. It is a colorless liquid with a sweet odor. It is produced by the oxidation of naphthalene and isopropylbenzyl alcohol in the presence of a catalyst such as iron(III) sulfate, potassium permanganate, or manganese dioxide. The reaction mechanism begins with the formation of furyl radicals from naphthalene and isopropylbenzyl alcohol. These radicals then react to form 4-phenylcyclohexan-1-ol. 4-Phenylcyclohexan-1-ol has been found to serve as an electron donor in catalysis, where it participates in the conversion of hydrocarbons into aromatic hydrocarbons. It also participates in biosynthesis through its role in fatty acid synthesis.Formula:C12H16OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:176.25 g/mol
