CAS:Controlled ProductClozapine, a dibenzodiazepine, demonstrates antagonistic activity at the dopamine receptors, further binding to serotonin (5-HT1A, 5-HT2A-C, 5-HT6, 5-HT7), alpha 1 and 2 adrenergic, histamine 1 and M1-M5 muscarinic receptors. In particular, its partial 5-HT1A agonist behaviour, its low affinity for the D2 Dopamine receptors and its antagonistic activity at 5-HT2A receptors, are properties, which make it useful as an antipsychotic drug. The FDA has approved Clozapine for use in the alleviation of symptoms in treatment-resistant schizophrenia patients, such as the risk of self-harm. Although not yet approved by the FDA, Clozapione exerts positive effects in Parkinson’s disease and bipolar disorder treatments. However, Clozapione is not currently a first line-therapy option, as it may cause agranulocytosis and other side effects such as orthostatic hypotension and hypersalivation. Clozapine is part of our Bio-X ™ Range. These products are aimed at life science researchers who need high quality ready to use products for assay development, screening or other R&D work. With a solubility datasheet and convenient vials, all of our Bio-X ™ products are in stock across our global warehouses for rapid delivery and ease of use.Formula:C18H19ClN4Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Yellow PowderMolecular weight:326.82 g/mol5-Acetyl-8-chloro-5H-dibenzo[b,e][1,4]diazepin-11(10H)-one
