CAS:Controlled ProductButorphanol tartrate is a pharmaceutical drug that can be used to diagnose the causes of pain. It is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain, as well as for post-operative and cancer pain relief. Butorphanol tartrate binds with high affinity to opioid receptors, including κ-opioid receptors and the serotonin transporter gene (SERT). This binding prevents the reuptake of serotonin into presynaptic neurons, leading to increased levels of serotonin in the synapse. This increased level of serotonin can inhibit the production of fatty acids in fat cells, which are responsible for regulating blood pressure. Butorphanol tartrate also has an effect on chloride channels, which can lead to an increase in chloride ions inside neurons. It is interesting to note that butorphanol tartrate does not appear to have any effect on β-adrenergic receptors or sodium channels.Formula:C25H35NO8Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:477.55 g/mol
