CAS:5-Chloro-2-methylbenzaldehyde (5CMB) is a chlorinated aromatic compound that is used as a precursor in the production of dyes, pharmaceuticals, and other chemicals. This compound reacts with alkylbenzenes to produce a variety of products. 5CMB can be converted to pyridine by reacting with ammonia and sulfuric acid, or to aniline by reacting with hydrochloric acid. It also undergoes reactions with ethyl acetate to produce ethyl benzoate, which can be catalyzed by copper. 5CMB has been shown to be more selective than other reagents in oxidative transformations of various substrates.Formula:C8H7ClOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:154.59 g/mol5-Chloro-2-methylbenzaldehyde
