CAS:3-Bromopropionic acid is a benzimidazole derivative that is used as a sample preparation agent in organic solvents. It can also be used to prepare 3-mercaptopropionic acid by quaternization with iodoacetic acid. 3-Bromopropionic acid is an intermediate in the synthesis of the cyclic peptide, which has shown efficacy against tumors. The high water permeability and low toxicity of 3-bromopropionic acid make it suitable for use in acidic ph tumor treatments.
