CAS:Controlled ProductApplications N-Acetylthiourea is a derivative of Thiourea (T375450); a compound used in biochemistry to increase the solubility (and resolution) of membrane proteins in two-dimensional electrophoresis. N-Acetylthiourea can be used as a reducing agent in a two-part self curing endodontic sealing system. Not a dangerous good if item is equal to or less than 1g/ml and there is less than 100g/ml in the package References Jabbour, S.: Am. J. Clin. CAS:Acetylthiourea is a chemical that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by interfering with the synthesis of nucleic acids. It binds to a dinucleotide phosphate in bacterial cells and prevents the formation of a hydrogen-bonding complex with sodium carbonate, which is required for DNA synthesis. Acetylthiourea also has an acidic effect on the metabolic system, which may be due to its ability to inhibit enzymes such as ns3 protease. Acetylthiourea also has cationic surfactant properties and can be used as a water-soluble disinfectant.Formula:C3H6N2OSPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:118.16 g/mol
