    N-5-Amino-2-chlorophenyl-pivaloylacetamide is a tyrosinase inhibitor that inhibits the biosynthesis of melanin and has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on both tyrosinase activity and protein synthesis. This compound inhibits the production of melanin by binding to tyrosinase, which is an enzyme involved in the process. N-5-Amino-2-chlorophenyl-pivaloylacetamide also has a recycling property, which means it can be used again after being metabolized by the body. It is found in recycled food ingredients such as dehydrated vegetables, potato flakes, and wheat flour. This compound has been shown to inhibit the growth of recombinant Escherichia coli cells expressing human tyrosinase, as well as p. pastoris cells expressing human tyrosinase.
