  • Ethyl 3-pyrazolecarboxylate

    CAS:
    Ethyl 3-pyrazolecarboxylate is a type of heterocyclic compound, with the chemical formula CH3CH2COOCH2CH2CO2H. It has been shown to inhibit protein tyrosine phosphatase. This inhibition could be due to its structure as a carboxylic acid, which binds to the active site of the enzyme and inhibits its function. Ethyl 3-pyrazolecarboxylate also has been shown in laboratory tests to have an inhibitory effect on benzoic acid phosphatase. The mechanism by which it inhibits this enzyme is not yet known, but it is assumed that this inhibition is due to binding of ethyl 3-pyrazolecarboxylate to benzoic acid phosphatase's active site.
