D-Homocysteine
CAS:D-Homocysteine is an amino acid that is produced from dietary l-tartaric acid. It is synthesized by a series of reactions in the body, including conversion of s-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase to homocysteine, followed by conversion of homocysteine to D-homocysteine by the enzyme, synthetase. D-Homocysteine is found in animal and human blood plasma and urine. The stereoisomeric form of D-homocysteine has been demonstrated in vitro studies to be more reactive than the L form. The biological function of this stereoisomer has not yet been elucidated.Formula:C4H9NO2SPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:135.18 g/mol(2R)-2-amino-4-sulfanyl-butanoic acid
