CAS:2,4-Dimethylphenylhydrazine HCl is a synthetic molecule that has been shown to have neuroprotective properties and inhibit the growth of P. aeruginosa. It also has shown to be an effective inhibitor of tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in the production of melanin, and has been used in the synthesis of a wide range of chalcones. The crystal structure of 2,4-Dimethylphenylhydrazine HCl was determined by x-ray diffraction techniques as a monoclinic space group with unit cell dimensions a = 12.77 Å, b = 5.02 Å, c = 18.38 Å, β = 117°. The molecular geometry about the N atom is pyramidal with two hydrogen bonds observed from NH groups to C atoms on adjacent molecules. 2,4-Dimethylphenylhydrazine HCl is soluble in water and hydrochloric acid but insoluble inFormula:C8H12N2·HClPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:172.66 g/mol2,4-Dimethylphenylhydrazine hydrochloride
