3-O-(b-D-Galactopyranosyl)-D-arabinose
CAS:3-O-(b-D-Galactopyranosyl)-D-arabinose is a disaccharide sugar that is found in mammalian tissue and many other biological systems. It binds to fatty acids, which are important for the structure of cell membranes. 3-O-(b-D-Galactopyranosyl)-D-arabinose is also an important component of oligosaccharides and glycolipids. The binding constants for this sugar have been determined by both titration calorimetry and microcalorimetry. 3-O-(b-D-Galactopyranosyl)-D arabinose has been used as an antiviral agent against Leishmania spp., which is a parasitic protozoa that causes leishmaniasis, the third most common human parasitic disease. This compound has also been shown to inhibit the growth of microalgae, such as Chlorella sorokiniana.Formula:C11H20O10Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:312.27 g/mol
