CAS:4-Chlorobutyraldehyde diethyl acetal is a reactive functional group used as a stabilizer in the production of nanosized particles. It has been shown to be effective at inhibiting the corrosion of magnesium, aluminium, and zirconium. 4-Chlorobutyraldehyde diethyl acetal can be synthesized by reacting chloroacetic acid with triethyl orthoformate in an organic solvent. The product is then treated with sodium methoxide to produce the desired product. This compound may also be used as a precursor for other compounds such as erythroxylum coca leaves or iminium chloride. 4-Chlorobutyraldehyde diethyl acetal binds to pyridoxine hydrochloride through hydrogen bonding and may have antimicrobial effects.Formula:C8H17ClO2Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Colorless Clear LiquidMolecular weight:180.67 g/mol4-Chlorobutyraldehyde Diethyl Acetal
