  • 3-Thiopheneboronic acid

    CAS:
    3-Thiopheneboronic acid is used in analytical chemistry as a reagent for the determination of trace levels of various elements. It has been shown to be a suitable monolayer material, which can be used in optical and electrochemical methods. 3-Thiopheneboronic acid has also been used for the synthesis of chemosensitive affinity ligands, which are attached to tumor cells for the purpose of targeting them with cytotoxic drugs. The presence of water molecules on the surface of the ligand causes a change in the electron transfer rate between the electrode and the ligand. 3-Thiopheneboronic acid can also be immobilized on an electrode surface and used to measure pH changes due to its sensitivity to neutral pH ranges.
