CAS:3-Ethylphenol is a fatty acid with a hydroxyl group. It is an aromatic hydrocarbon that has been found to inhibit the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in laboratory experiments. 3-Ethylphenol has also been shown to be effective against other bacteria, such as Staphylococcus and Enterobacteriaceae, which are often resistant to antibiotics. 3-Ethylphenol was used in the production of chemical analyses, sample preparation, and chromatographic science.
