CAS:3-Nitro-L-tyrosine is an oxidized form of L-tyrosine that is a byproduct of lipid peroxidation. 3-Nitro-L-tyrosine has been detected in the blood and cerebrospinal fluid of patients with bowel disease, which may be due to oxidative injury. The formation of 3-nitrotyrosine is associated with neuronal death in neurodegenerative diseases. Analysis of 3-nitrotyrosine has shown the presence of nitrate and nitrite, which suggests that it may be involved in the pathogenic mechanism for atherosclerosis. This compound is also genotoxic, as shown by its ability to cause DNA strand breaks and DNA crosslinks.Formula:C9H10N2O5Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:226.19 g/mol3-Nitro-L-tyrosine
