CAS:Tricaproin is a lipolytic enzyme that has been shown to catalyze the hydrolysis of long-chain fatty acid esters. Tricaproin has been found to be an effective inhibitor of cholesterol synthesis in vitro and in vivo. It also inhibits the growth of carcinoma cell lines by inhibiting the production of galacturonic acid and caproic acid. Tricaproin has been shown to inhibit fatty acid biosynthesis in Pichia pastoris, which may be due to its ability to interact with acyl chains. Tricaproin is able to prevent the formation of surface structures on proteins, which may be due to its ability to interact with surface methodology. Structural analysis has revealed that tricaproin exhibits a similar three-dimensional structure as other lipolytic enzymes, such as pancreatic lipase.Formula:C21H38O6Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:386.52 g/molTricaproin
