CAS:2-Chloro-1-phenylethane is an organic compound that is used in the analytical method of measuring the formation rate of hydrogen chloride gas. It reacts with a cationic surfactant to form a chlorinated anion, which reacts with a chlorine atom to produce an unstable intermediate. This intermediate then decomposes into hydrogen chloride and a chlorinated hydrocarbon. The reaction can be catalyzed by an enzyme or by adding hydrochloric acid, hydroxyl group, or dipropyl ether. 2-Chloro-1-phenylethane has been shown to cause neuronal death in rats when injected into the brain at high doses.Formula:C8H9ClPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:LiquidMolecular weight:140.61 g/molRef: 3D-FC00925
