6-Bromo-2-benzothiazolinone
CAS:6-Bromo-2-benzothiazolinone is a chemical that inhibits the growth of microorganisms, including bacteria and fungi. It is used in herbicides, fungicides, and as a preservative in paints and adhesives. 6-Bromo-2-benzothiazolinone is also used to make other chemicals such as benzothiazolones, which are used in the manufacture of dyes and pharmaceuticals. This chemical reacts with electrophiles such as formic acid to produce formyl derivatives such as formaldehyde.
