CAS:Ethylenediamine dihydrobromide (EDHB) is a water-soluble salt that can be used as a phase transition temperature indicator. The thermodynamic data for EDHB is obtained from the melting point and boiling point measurements, which are found to be at -3.6°C and 240°C, respectively. Transfection experiments have been carried out with the use of EDHB on cells in culture. Sodium salts of EDHB were incorporated into nanoparticles for the purpose of oral delivery. Nitrite ion has been shown to coordinate with EDHB, forming an octahedral geometry with two bromide ions and two ethylenediamine molecules. The biological properties of EDHB have been studied extensively, including its toxicity studies and x-ray crystal structures. Sesquiterpene lactone has also been shown to bind to EDHB by hydrogen bonding interactions; this binding leads to an increase in solubility in organic solvents, such asFormula:C2H8N2·2HBrPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:221.92 g/mol
