CAS:Controlled ProductDiethylamine hydrobromide is a dpp-iv inhibitor that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity. It is used in the treatment of metabolic disorders, such as hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia, and phosphorus pentoxide poisoning. Diethylamine hydrobromide inhibits the production of inflammatory prostaglandins by blocking the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and therefore reduces pain and inflammation. Diethylamine hydrobromide inhibits COX-2 by binding to its active site, thereby inhibiting the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. This drug also has a lactogenic effect on the mammary gland, which may be due to its ability to inhibit phospholipase A2 (PLA2). The inhibition of PLA2 prevents release of arachidonic acid from cell membranes for conversion into prostaglandins or leukotrienes.Formula:C4H11N•HBrPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:154.05 g/mol
