4-Amino-N-methylbenzamide
CAS:4-Amino-N-methylbenzamide (4-ABMA) is a potential antitumor that inhibits the growth of cancer cells. It has shown antiproliferative effects in human liver and panc-1 cells. 4-ABMA binds to human cytochrome P450 and inhibits its function, which may be responsible for its cytotoxic effect on cancer cells. Cytomorphological examinations of cancer cells show that 4-ABMA induces changes in cell morphology, including cell shrinkage and membrane blebbing. The chloride ion is also involved in the cytotoxicity of this compound as it interacts with the amide group present in the molecule to form a reactive intermediate that can attack DNA, proteins, and other cellular structures. In addition, 4-ABMA is nucleophilic and reacts with DNA through an electrophilic substitution reaction. This reaction causes strand breaks that inhibit replication and transcription of DNA.Formula:C8H10N2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:150.18 g/mol4-Amino-N-methylbenzamide
