10-Bromo-1-decene
CAS:10-Bromo-1-decene is a spirolaxine analog that has been shown to reduce the intracellular calcium concentration in leukemia cells. It is used as a cross-linking agent and a transfer mechanism in magnetic resonance spectroscopy. 10-Bromo-1-decene reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce 6-bromo-1-hexene, which is then reacted with ethyl esters to form ethyl esters of bromoacetic acid. These compounds are then reacted with n-acetyl l tyrosine (NALT) to form 6-[N-(4′,5′,6′)-triacetyl]-2,3,5,6,-tetraaminopyrimidine (spirolaxine). Spirolaxine binds reversibly to globoid cells and inhibits the uptake of amino acids. This inhibition prevents protein synthesis and increases the rate of cell death by apoptFormula:C10H19BrPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:219.16 g/molRef: 3D-FB64872
