Clofibrate, 95+%
CAS:It is a lipid-lowering agent used for controlling the high cholesterol and triacylglyceride level in the blood. It increases lipoprotein lipase activity to promote the conversion of VLDL to LDL, and hence reduce the level of VLDL. It can increase the level of HDL as well. Clofibrate is a ligand agonist for PPARα (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α), or an inducer of cytochromes P450’s CYP4A1 and CYP4A3. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.Formula:C12H15ClO3Purity:95+%Molecular weight:242.7Clofibrate

CAS:Clofibrate is a lipid-lowering agent that is used for the treatment of hyperlipidemia. It is a non-selective inhibitor of fatty acid synthesis and has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in vitro. Clofibrate inhibits tumor cell proliferation and induces apoptosis, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis in cancer cells. This drug also suppresses the growth of breast cancer cells by inhibiting their ability to proliferate.Formula:C12H15ClO3Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Colorless Clear LiquidMolecular weight:242.7 g/molClofibrate 100 µg/mL in Acetonitrile
