CAS 64191-13-5: (1S,2S)-2-amino cyclopetanecarboxylic acid

(1S,2S)-2-Amino-cyclopetanecarboxylicacid is an enantiomer of (1R,2R)-2-amino-cyclopentanecarboxylic acid. It can be synthesized by reacting butyric acid with diazoethane in the presence of a base. The compound exhibits fluorescence properties and has been used to study kinetic and stereoselective reactions. (1S,2S)-2-Amino-cyclopetanecarboxylicacid has been shown to be a useful synthetic intermediate for the synthesis of homochiral, asymmetric β-amino acids.
