2,7-Dibromo-1,8-naphthyridine is a heterocyclic compound that has an imine group. It was synthesized by reacting 2-amino-4,6-dichloropyrimidine with 1,2-dibromoethane. The crystal structure of 2,7-Dibromo-1,8-naphthyridine was determined by XRD and found to be stable in the covalent state at room temperature. The reaction solution was obtained by adding phosphine to solvents such as chlorobenzene and ethyl acetate. The solvent was then evaporated under vacuum and the residue was purified using column chromatography.
