CAS:Cytidine is a nucleoside that belongs to the group of pyrimidine nucleosides. It can be absorbed from the intestine and hydrolyzed to uridine by intestinal enzymes. Cytidine has been shown to inhibit angiogenesis in animal model systems and transfection experiments, as well as being genotoxic in vitro.
