CAS:N-Acetyl-5-methoxy-L-tryptophan is a synthetic amino acid that has been used as an immunogen in the production of antibodies specific to melatonin. It is chemically similar to L-tryptophan, but with the acetyl group on the 5th carbon atom instead of the 6th. N-Acetyl-5-methoxy-L-tryptophan is not found in mammalian cells and is only detectable in human serum, urine samples, and rat plasma. The affinity of this compound for human serum proteins can be used as a measure of its purity. This product has been analysed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and found to be free from contaminants such as solvents.Formula:C14H16N2O4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:276.29 g/mol
