Applications Dibutyltin Dichloride-d18 is a labeled analogue of Dibutyltin Dichloride (D429550) (CAS# 683-18-1), which is an organotin compound that is widely used as a stabilizer for polyvinylchloride plastics. Studies show that exposure to Dibutyltin Dichloride induced acute interstitial pancreatitis in rats. Dibutyltin Dichloride showed in vitro trypanocidal activity. Dibutyltin dichloride is a chloride salt of dibutyltin and is used as an anti-inflammatory agent. It is also a pro-apoptotic protein that inhibits IL-2 receptor signaling. Dibutyltin dichloride has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells. This drug has been shown to act as a polymerase chain inhibitor and structural analysis confirms it binds to the catalytic site of the enzyme.
