CAS:2-Amino-5-methyl-1,3-thiazole-4-carboxylic acid (2AMT) is a chemical compound that has been found to be an effective treatment for hyperglycaemia in mice. 2AMT was found to decrease the blood glucose level in mice and prevented the development of beriberi, a disease caused by severe thiamine deficiency. 2AMT also decreased bodyweight and body temperature in untreated animals. This drug was not found to have any effect on untreated animals with normal vitamin levels. 2AMT may be used as an alternative treatment for hyperglycaemia in humans, but more research is needed.Formula:C5H6N2O2SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:158.18 g/molRef: 3D-FA126641
