  • Calciumacetylsalicylate

    CAS:
Calciumacetylsalicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is used to treat inflammatory bowel disease. It has been shown to inhibit the production of cytokines that are important for cell proliferation and inflammation. Calciumacetylsalicylate has minimal toxicity, which is thought to be due to its ability to bind to the il-2 receptor on lymphocytes and inhibit the production of natural compounds such as prostaglandins. This drug also binds competitively with acetylsalicylic acid, an active ingredient in aspirin, preventing it from binding to platelets and inhibiting platelet aggregation. Calciumacetylsalicylate has been shown to inhibit the production of chemiluminescence in water vapor by reacting with hydrogen peroxide, which may be due to its ability to inhibit reactive oxygen species generation.
