CAS:1-Methyl-2-pyridone is a reactive intermediate that is found in the synthesis of many biologically active compounds. This compound has been shown to inhibit inflammation by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are inflammatory mediators. 1-Methyl-2-pyridone has also been shown to inhibit the activity of amines, such as histamine and serotonin, and other protonated molecules.
