CAS:4-Tert-Butyldimethylsiloxy-3-penten-2-one (4BDMSO) is a reagent that is used as a filtrate. It can be prepared by reacting acetylacetone with imidazole in the presence of an enol ether. The reaction produces two isomers, 4BDMSO and 3BDMSO, which are separated by fractional distillation. 4BDMSO has been used as a preparative method for certain organic compounds, such as enols and ethers. Filtration is also a preparative method in which the compound to be purified is dissolved in a solvent and placed on top of a filter paper or membrane that allows only the pure substance to pass through. This purification technique removes impurities from the desired product.Purity:Min. 95%
