CAS:Trans-2-aminocyclohexanol is a chemical compound that has been shown to have anticancer activity. It possesses the ability to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and protein. Trans-2-aminocyclohexanol also inhibits the production of nitric oxide (NO), which is involved in tumor cell proliferation. The cytotoxic effect of this drug is pH dependent, with an acidic pH being needed for its anticancer activity. This compound has been isolated from potassium ion solutions at low concentration yields using magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). Trans-2-aminocyclohexanol has a protonated amine group that can form hydrogen bonds with other molecules, which may explain its ability to interact with DNA.Formula:C6H13NOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:115.17 g/mol
