Dimethyl cyclopropane-1,2-dicarboxylate (DMCPD) is a racemic antiviral agent that inhibits the synthesis of viral nucleic acids and proteins. It was developed as an intermediate for the production of allylstannanes and substituted cyclobutyls. DMCPD has been shown to inhibit the replication of influenza A virus in calf-thymus cells.
