1,1,2,3,4,5,6-Heptachlorocyclohexane
CAS:1,1,2,3,4,5,6-Heptachlorocyclohexane is a chlorinated hydrocarbon that has been used as a control agent for insects. It is formed by the oxidation of 1,2-dichloroethane or by the condensation of acetylene with chlorine. 1,1,2,3,4,5,6-Heptachlorocyclohexane can be found as one of four isomers: cis-, trans-, meta-, and para-. The cis-isomer is the most common form. This chemical is used in pest control to kill insects such as cockroaches and termites. It works by interfering with their fatty acid metabolism. This chemical also reacts with aromatic hydrocarbons in the environment to produce dioxins.Formula:C6H5Cl7Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:325.3 g/mol1,1,2,3,4,5,6-Heptachlorocyclohexane
