(S)-Glycidyl Phenyl Ether
CAS:Formula:C9H10O2Purity:>98.0%(GC)Color and Shape:Colorless to Almost colorless clear liquidMolecular weight:150.18(S)-glycidyl Phenyl ether
CAS:Glycidyl phenyl ether is a reactive ether that can be used as a model system to study the reactivity of ethers. It is found in picolinic acid and its derivatives, which are produced by the nitration of phenols. Glycidyl phenyl ether reacts with sodium salts in an alkaline solution to form p-hydroxybenzoic acid, glycidyl, and transfer reactions. These reactions are reversible, depending on the pH of the solution. The glycidyl group is also found in human serum and is implicated in polymerase chain reactions (PCR). In addition, this group has been shown to play an important role in squamous carcinoma.Purity:Min. 95%
