    Creatine phosphate is a high-energy phosphate reservoir in vertebrate and some invertebrate muscle. Provides phosphate for ADP-ATP conversion. Quantitative in vitro determination of creatine kinase in human serum and plasma. Used in diagnostics for creatine kinase test. Creatine Kinase catalyzes the transfer of a phosphate group from the creatine phosphatesubstrate to ADP. Subsequent formation of ATP is measured through the use of two coupled reactions catalyzed by hexokinase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH) which results in the production of reduced b-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) from b-nicotinamide dinucleotide (NAD). This change in absorbance is directly proportional to the activity of creatine kinase in the sample.

    Creatine phosphate is a high-energy phosphate that is found in muscles and other tissues. It is the immediate precursor of ATP, which provides energy for muscle contraction. Creatine phosphate disodium tetrahydrate (CP) has been shown to be effective in treating geriatric patients with creatine kinase deficiency.
