N-(4-Methylquinazolin-2-yl)guanidine
CAS:N-(4-Methylquinazolin-2-yl)guanidine (NQG) is a GABA receptor agonist that has been shown to have low potency. It binds to the alpha1 subunit of the GABA receptor and enhances its activity, thereby increasing the frequency of cycles in the activated state. NQG has been shown to be effective as a pharmacological agent for treating congestive heart failure and influenza virus infection. NQG also has an antagonistic effect on growth factor receptors, inhibiting their activity. This may be due to its ability to inhibit the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA).Formula:C10H11N5Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:201.23 g/molRef: 3D-FM129935
