N-[(4-Fluorophenyl)methyl]-1,6-dihydro-5-hydroxy-1-methyl-6-oxo-2-(tetrahydro-1,1-dioxido-2H-1,2-thiazin-2-yl)-4-pyrimidinecarboxami de (R7128) is an inhibitor of HIV integrase. It prevents HIV from replicating by blocking the integration of viral DNA into the host genome. The drug has been shown to be active against resistant mutants and to inhibit viral replication in vivo in human serum and cells. R7128 is a potent inhibitor of HIV integrase that has been shown to be active against resistant mutants and to inhibit viral replication in vivo in human cells and serum.
