CAS:Tyr-Ala-OH is a peptide hormone that inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, which is needed for melanin synthesis. Tyr-Ala-OH has been shown to be effective in the treatment of autoimmune diseases and inflammatory diseases. This drug also has strong antioxidant properties and can inhibit proton release from cells. The mechanism of action appears to be through competitive inhibition of the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4), which breaks down glucagon-like peptide (GLP) 1 and GLP 2, both of which have anti-inflammatory effects. Tyr-Ala-OH has been shown to inhibit the growth of Caenorhabditis elegans in nanomolar concentrations, making it an effective treatment for infectious diseases.Formula:C12H16N2O4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:252.27 g/mol
