4-Phenyl-azepane
CAS:4-Phenyl-azepane is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of other drugs, such as dopamine and noradrenaline. It has been shown to enhance the effects of these neurotransmitters. 4-Phenyl-azepane can be synthesized from dopamine by oxidation with oxone, a strong oxidizing agent. This process converts dopamine into 4-phenyl-azepane, which can then be converted into other compounds using different methods. 4-Phenyl-azepane is also an inhibitor of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (11βHSD), which prevents the conversion of cortisone to cortisol. As a result, this drug may be used to treat urethral obstruction caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia or to prevent postoperative urinary retention after prostate surgery.Formula:C12H17NPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:175.27 g/mol
